Damon has dedicated the last 19 years to a career in non-profit/university-based research and economic development services, focusing on serving manufacturers. From his beginnings as a data analyst for the Georgia Tech Research Institute, he has delivered consistent value-added results for industrial clients through expertise in industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, and workplace safety and health.
Currently, Mr. Nix leads a team of 9 business development professionals at Impact Washington, Washington State's Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center (DoC/NIST-MEP). The Business Development team serves as trusted advisors in manufacturing across the state of Washington to promote competitiveness and sustainability among small and medium-sized manufacturers.
