WiM Corporate Professional
Professional Bio
My name is Shabnam and I am a process engineer at BASF in West Memphis, AR. I work in operations at a polyurethane production facility, and have worked in various roles in manufacturing the past seven years.
As a SWE professional member, I have been involved with STEM outreach programs, such as participating in Collegiate to Career preparatory/transition events and leading hands-on workshops in Future Women Engineers programs. I have attended Women Leadership and SWE conferences and have been continually inspired to encourage younger females to pursue careers in engineering.
I strongly believe that women’s leadership initiatives should be supported and that women should be empowered to take on leadership positions, particularly within STEM communities. As a woman in a male-dominating field, I am empowered to use my intelligence, creativity, attention to detail & organization to solve problems in manufacturing.
