At the Women in Manufacturing Association® (WiM), we recognize the pivotal role women play in driving the manufacturing industry forward. WiM is the only national trade association dedicated to supporting, promoting, and inspiring women who work in manufacturing.

 

WiM Membership

Founded in 2013, WiM has more than 30,000 individual members representing more than 2,800 manufacturing companies; and more than 500 corporate members. WiM members hail from all 50 U.S. states and from more than 70 countries around the globe.

WiM offers five distinct categories of membership: Corporate, Professional Plus, Professional, Student, and Retired.

WiM Chapters

WiM has 33 local and statewide chapters throughout the U.S. including WiM Minnesota which has an active base of members throughout the state!

WiM Programs

WiM hosts an expanding array of impactful events and programs annually. These events collectively foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and actionable steps for industry growth and improvement.

WiM’s annual flagship event, SUMMIT, unites industry professionals throughout the country and even the world. The Moms in MFG initiative offers support and a community for mothers and caregivers in manufacturing, fostering connections, and providing valuable content.

WiM regional conferences offer unique learning and networking opportunities, allowing participants to gain access to key industry content shared by regional thought leaders and connect with peers in their region.

The member-exclusive WiM Summer and Winter Leadership Conferences convene the National Board of Directors and corporate members to address industry challenges, exchange ideas, and strategize for workforce enhancement. 

WiM also offers an International Women’s Network, Executive Networking Groups, and a Men as Allies program (new in 2025)!

Employment Resources

Whether job seeker or employer, WiM offers a host of opportunities to maximize your career or workplace.

WiMWorks Career Center provides year-round job postings for a variety of industry roles.

The Virtual Career Fair is offered bi-annually to connect more than 40 top manufacturing employers with hundreds of quality job seekers from around the country. 

Registered Apprenticeship Programs

Through WiM's partnership with Jobs for the Future, WiM corporate members, chapters, and individual members have access to a streamlined way of building their own Registered Apprenticeship Program.

Jobs for the Future works to connect interested corporations with the appropriate partner to carry out a successful and equitable Registered Apprenticeship Program by providing technical assistance in recruiting, retaining, and training women in manufacturing Registered Apprenticeship Programs.

 

Leadership Development


The WiM Education Foundation is WiM’s nonprofit partner. Founded in 2016, WiMEF provides women with valuable connections, access to career pathways, and best-in-class programming at all stages of their manufacturing careers.
